Abstract:
Pharmacy is a dynamic healthcare profession that integrates pharmaceutical sciences, clinical practice, and patient care to improve therapeutic outcomes. The field has evolved significantly over the past few decades due to advances in drug discovery, biotechnology, pharmacogenomics, and clinical pharmacy services. Pharmacists play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medicines. This article reviews the current developments in pharmaceutical sciences, including drug development, personalized medicine, herbal drug research, and the expanding role of pharmacists in healthcare systems. The integration of modern technologies and evidence-based practices has enhanced medication management and patient safety. Furthermore, the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases has highlighted the importance of pharmaceutical care in optimizing treatment outcomes. The article emphasizes the significance of pharmacy in improving public health and discusses future opportunities and challenges in the profession.
